Hat and Tie - Finding It Rough (1967)
Hat and Tie weren’t really a band but just a duo consisting of Patrick Campbell-Lyons (later of Nirvana UK fame) and Chris Thomas (producer of Roxy Music, Pretenders, Sex Pistols, etc.) Beyond the historical curiosity factor, this is a cool bit British psych that has been stuck in my head lately.
Today in Music - May 2nd, 1992
A British band who performed under the name Nirvana files a lawsuit against the American Nirvana claiming to have been using the name since 1968. The dispute is settled out of court in favor of the British band.
