“yah! this stupid machine hates me!” you yelled angrily as you kick the machine. this was the 6th time you’ve tried, but no matter how hard you try the machine only lightly brushes the penguin with its claws.
you decide to try a few more times, pulling out your wallet to put in more coins which causes the man behind you to laugh
“what’re you laughing at?” you scrunch your nose at the boy, he’s been watching you suffer this entire time and he’s been getting a kick out of it!
“are you really going to try again?” he says as he attempts to hold back his laughter.
“yes. I am going to get that penguin whether he likes it or not.” you huff, roughly shoving the coins into the slot.
you were about to start, until someone stopped you.
“wait” Sunghoon said, causing you to turn around.
“what? I’m about to start!” you say slightly annoyed with him, you can hear the machines timer ticking.
“ishh, you’re so hopeless. scoot over, let me have a go” he said as he gently pushed you to the side, handing you the coke and cotton candy which he was holding before.
you watch him intently as he moved the joystick he very carefully the claw on top of the penguin and then pressed down on the button. you were sure the claw would either drop it or not pick it up at all. but to your surprise, he got it!
your eyes went wide as you turned to the boy, grabbing onto his arm and shaking it “how did— how did you do that?!” you asked excitedly as he bent down to pick up the stuffed animal out of the machine.
“here, you can have it” he said with a gentle smile, holding out the penguin plush. with a wide smile and flushed cheeks, you take it from his hands.
“I’ll call him hoon” you said as you look down to your hands, happily staring at the adorable penguin.
“hoon?” he said, a teasing smile on his face. you felt your cheeks flush even more.
“yah don’t tease me! and also… thank you, sunghoon” you then lift yourself onto your tip toes, and plant a soft kiss on his cheek.
“you’re welcome, Y/N” he said with reddened cheeks as he took your hand in his, leading you away from the claw machine.
“hey are you blushing?” you began to tease when you noticed him hiding his face from you.
