Why sanitize Hephaestus’s relationship with Aphrodite but not his relationship with Hera? That’s what I wanna know.

I'm assuming you don't mind spoilers about Hades game 2 so here's what I've found about Hephaestus so far

Him and Aphrodite seem to be getting along well with each other. Hephaestus even says that he would do anything for her. No mention of Aglaia whatsoever :/

Hera seems to have disdain for him and called him uncouth. Hephaestus retorted by saying "what can I do? You never taught me good manners" lmao it was a sick burn. Also, Hera says that she wanted to create someone perfect and charming like Athena or Apollo when she intended to create a child on her own. (Interestingly, both Hephaestus and Apollo have the same golden eyes).

Apparently him and Hestia also get along well as she spends time in his forge often.

Hephaestus saying he’d do anything for Aphrodite is accurate to the version of him in the Thebaid unfortunately lol

I don’t get making Hera still resents him even after he proved himself to be one of the most talented and intelligent of the gods, yes she threw him off a mountain but there is literally no other story about her disliking him after that, even after the chained throne incident (which is crazy bc you’d expect her to take revenge for being humiliated like that but it seems she realizes she deserves it lol), she even defends him from Leto and Zeus’s ableist remarks against Hephaestus in Lucian’s Dialogues and even praised him in the Iliad. Yes it’s conditional love but that’s Hera for ya.

Hera didn’t know it at first but she did create a perfect child, and for her to be cold to Hephaestus even after he proves himself doesn’t really make sense to me. I do like Hephaestus’s remark on good manners at least lol. Hestia and Hephaestus getting along also makes sense.
