The Ache of Familiarity
Did a lil one shot on Silva and Nitrocis, especially about her np (taggin @panyum ) The first time she saw Nitrois's NP was, weird. Most would think it was terrifying. But not to her. There was, somewhere in the back of her mind the whisper that she should beware, but overall the overwhelming feeling was...familiarity Her lost soul tugged almost to join the call from her mirror. Of course this wasn't a literal tug, she was in no danger. But it was still, weird. Nowadays as she takes Nitrosis farming over and over, seeing her np twice over every run most times, it's a familiarity in a different way. She takes a breath as shes in charge of the body, tasting the shadows on her tongue, hearing the echoes of the call of the whispers of the dead. She was surprised by Nitrosis back when they first summoned her. Unlike when she first met Eresh in Babylonia, who looked at her spirit with rage, Nitrosis was almost...pity was a poor word choice. Understanding, yes. A saddened ache in her eyes as she beheld my spirit in that summoning room standing next to Guada. It was always interesting after all, seeing what servants could see me. There was still the regal demanding befitting her statues that questioned my existence, but once explained any hint of that anger was fully gone. It was odd, more than odd it was entirely unexpected. But welcome nonetheless She blinks as they move onto the next wave, still tasting the shadows that felt warm at times almost to her spirit self but here in the body they felt as chilled as ever. It didn't used to be like this, this sort of familiarity anyhow, of the sensations. But Nitrocis was a damn good farmer, and they grew to know each other well. Grew to care in their own ways, at times it seemed like Nitrocis was tending to one of her wayward spirits as much as she dealt with her in a master sense. A habit that still persists somewhat even though it has faded with time and friendship. Yes, those lost and wayward souls are familiar to Silva. She was similar to them after all, she had just found something, someone to cling to. Kept her sense of self in tact. She watches as Nitrocis hits death on every enemy and wonders if her soul set loose could have the same power She wonders, where she'll go when this is all over… But these are far too grim of thoughts to have on a farming run so she shakes it off, metaphorically shaking off those whispers and shadows as they head into the final wave, stretching. She thought too much. Maybe that was a sign for a break...but she still had energy to go, still had things to do, so onward to the next node they went as the last wave disappeared into golden dust. Tasting the shadows once more, hearing those familiar pleasant whispers in her ears as they started all over again
