the relationship between Anubis and Nitocris in Nitovenger is so. so fucking funny to me.
like usually in FGO when a servant has the presence/traits/personality/aspect of a god/s inside of them, we either get a completely professional working relationship where it feels like they just happen to live in the same apartment but don’t really mind each other all that much (e.g Sitonai), or they actively dislike/fear each other and just snatch body control whenever they feel like it or just pretend the others doesn’t exist without much consideration (Avenger Nobbu for instance).
But Anubis and Nito? They’re bros. OR, more accurately Nitocris tries her best to live up to the expectations of her role to the highest degree, while Anubis is in the background going “you’re doing amazing sweetie!”
Like, imagine having the God of the dead as your hype man, your cheerleader. Nito Alter enters a room with Anubis in control and he shouts “MAKE WAY FOR THE BESTEST GIRL IN CHALDEA!” and then lets Nitocris have control again and she has to deal everyone in the room looking at her like she is the bestest specialest girl in Chaldea (because she is) and has to desperately cling to her imposing reputation while Anubis gives her a very enthusiastic thumbs up from their shared brain space.
A Nitocris Alter I spent longer than I expected rendering. She’s really pretty and I’m super excited to see her in the story.
