Twenty Five Feeling Forever Sixteen
A day before the Independence. Yes, that’s me.
I was never fond of celebrating MY birthday. I dunno. I guess I grew up that way. Well, to be a kid who had an unfortunate timing for my folk’s salary (too far from the end of the month; 15th isn’t there yet either), I never looked forward for exciting things to happen at this very day.
I didn’t even do the Debut thingy. I was not into “too girly” things. I spent my Debut budget for my first China trip, tagging along my sister, and visiting our Mom there for a month. It was the best birthday celebration, yet it didn’t happen exactly on my birthday. “Twas more of a late celeb.
My sister, the sweetums that she is, liked surprising me, doe. On my 22nd birthday, as I came home, to my surprise, my whole skate crew was there. Yay, celebration!
Since I started working, I spend most of my birthdays: SLEEPING.
Then, this weirdo came along. And I think, my vision of this day is about to change.

I have never been so surprised and touched my whole life.
His mom and two sisters came the day before here in our flat to bring my surprises. I cried. Literally.

I have the sweetest second family, don’t I? Lucky me! To top it off, I received my every-year-birthday-call from my Mommy, Step Dad and Sissy. I will never trade these people for anything.
