Oh to be a 4-tons little woolly rhino x pachyrhinosaurus girl
Iduna by Faun. This song evokes the feelings of Spring. The celebration, unknown possibilities. Budding love, up to the nervousness of a crush. For the best effect, turn on this song before looking over the Spring Series.
Fanart of @loveloki555 and their sigyn variant, with her first born daughter Niorun.
I just felt like drawing a little fanart for the local sigyn enjoyers with their own variants of her! ✨

Day 213 - Njörun, Fire Emblem Genealogy of the Holy War
My OC, Her name is Njorun! She's a woolly rhino + pachyrhinosaurus!
The Full Moon of March marks the start of Spring in the Heathen Revival calendar. This year is special because the full moon is a blood moon, occurring on the 14th. The White Raven Kindred honors the Vanir during the Spring Equinox. We do not know much about this tribe of gods. There is the story of Aesir, Vanir War. We have the resulting hostage exchange that led to Njord, Frey, & Freyja becoming part of the Aesir tribe. We can discern that the Vanir are gods of fertility and magick, as Freyja is said to have taught the All Father the art of seidr & Frey was honored during planting celebrations. Saxo Grammaticus mentions that the Germanic peoples worshiped a goddess named Nerthus who seems to have been a Mother Nature figure. Some have suggested that Nerthus is equivalent to the barely mentioned goddess, Njorun, from Snorri's Edda. We cannot know for sure, but UPG has led us to honor Njorun in this role. During this season we also honor Njord, the god who rules over the bounty of the sea. Finally, though not one of the Vanir, we add Jord for good measure. Though she is technically part of the Jotun Tribe, she is the personification of the earth and the mother of Thor - thus she is worthy of honor. Some have suggested that the elves are counted among the Vanir because Frey was given Alfheim as a teething gift. This is why the generated picture has Njorun, Njord, and various Alfar & Disir celebrating the coming of Spring. Whoever you honor & however you celebrate, may you have a blessed equinox! Remember, though you may find yourself surrounded by people who lack honor, weavers of untruth attempting to bring about unbalance & discord--- the Spring will come and displace the darkness. Freyja's Hexennacht will find those dishonored without hiding place, their lies revealed. Hail to the Vanir!
