"Johann took only two mirrors and gave me one of them. Of course, he showed great persistence. He claimed that he had managed to find texts about them and wanted to learn how to activate them in time, and that it would be a way to keep in touch with me if our paths diverged in the future. The way he knew was that both "needles" had to be sprinkled with our blood, which I agreed to. As I found out later, the crystals absorbed all the blood. Johann asked me to hide the mirror and not to think about it until the time was right. And if he could figure it out, I would certainly understand."

My next short story that takes place in my setting — Eanor. I finished writing it in the late winter or early spring of 2023, but didn't polish it with a friend until this summer. I've mentioned before my idea to make a series of illustrations for it after I finished the translation, and not too long ago I finally managed to done it and published it on Wattpad today. You can read it from the begining to the end, but I don't think it would fit here, so I plan to post short fragments along with the illustrations, which are currently only drawn for the first chapter and will be uploaded here soon. I hope you enjoy it and welcome any feedback!

"It all began in my early years of study at Castal – the most powerful mage guild in the entire West. Without it, I would not have been able to fully master my gift, accumulate knowledge, and eventually attain my current position. It was here that I met Johann Safaxer. Even back then, when I looked into his green eyes, cunningly gleaming against the black spots on his light fur, I discerned his inquisitive nature. This canine was of noble blood, from a minor but wealthy family that could easily send its son to comprehend the mastery of magic. I did not expect that, during the first days of my stay in the guild, he would approach me – a modest owl from a family of small merchants on the outskirts of the Empire, who had barely managed to gather enough money for the journey – and offer me friendship".
"Filnar’s Mirrors — ancient, unique, and priceless relics with a mysterious, unsolved mechanism. These mirrors appeared during the reign of King Filnar, who ruled the city of Tatei, but nearly all of them, along with the history of their origin and their method of creation, were lost in the catastrophe that wiped out the entire city and its surroundings.
To the uninitiated, these mirrors might have seemed like mere trinkets compared to the other artifacts in that vault, but few know that these are some of the most mysterious objects in all of Eanor. Each of them is an ordinary hand mirror, but it is made of a rare blue metal called lebirite, and it's crowned with a “needle” — a green crystal worked to a sharp point. According to legends, with their help, ancient magicians could communicate to each other from different parts of the kingdom, and even transfer small items like letters. But only if they knew how to activate them."
