“If you snoop around long enough you’re guaranteed to find what you’re looking for.” Lyra sighs recalling the saying as she walks along a busy yet unfamiliar street. This old adage was told by her by her father in her youth, and a part of her always sort of clung to it as a sort of petty universal truth. Unfortunately for the woman who had grown up in the largely ‘rustic’ Johto region this district was completely foreign territory. Her PokeGear couldn’t pick up service in Unova which left her without the ability to call the regional office that she was reporting to during her coverage of the Pokemon World Tournament. More drastically it left her without the use of a map, as her Pokegear only covered the Kanto and Johto regions. Sparing a glance around the brunette picked out the faces of several trainers that were slightly familiar; Today had been the opening ceremonies of the aforementioned PWT and as expected it had drawn quite the diverse crowd, but now everyone was leaving to their respected hotels and homes as the service was done.
Never one to be shy Lyra picked out her ‘target’ surely they wouldn’t be so adverse to simply giving her a few directions right? “Ah Excuse me sir!” The dainty reporter approached a man her sweetest smile in place, only to be brushed past by the individual who seemed to have no interest in stopping to help a stranger.
A thin brow shot up and Lyra squinted at the man, how rude! That would never happen in Johto. “Why I’ve got half a mind to!” In the midst of her verbal retaliation to the retreating male a new person bumps in to the woman, knocking her a bit off balance. Catching herself she turns quickly – Couldn’t these city folk mind their manners?! “O-oh-“ Judging by the person’s expression it was easy to see that they hadn’t intended to bump her- making it her fault after all. Smiling sheepishly she steps off to the side. “Oh I’m so sorry! I was just so caught up in.. well I guess that doesn’t matter..” Biting her lip faintly she decides to try her spiel again. “Ah hey- you wouldn’t happen to know a place around here that’d be good for getting a bite to eat, would ya?”
