In game, when I use vicious mockery with my lounge singer bard; I’ve been using appropriately bad puns. My group, and my groups players all hate it. It’s great!
That is excellent (both the lounge singer bard AND the bad puns). I personally have a Shakespeare insult list/generator up for reference whenever I play a few of my bards (my 5th edition version of Marlowe, and my dragonborn Faeryx mostly). Vicious Mockery is such a great spell.

"Is Auntie a Boy or a Girl" "They're an Ant." Is how I imagine that.
Yes indeed, I can lift several times my body weight, have horrifying mandibles, and skitter around on my 6 horrible itchy legs.
FRIENDSHIP.
This is what happens when you have too many characters who worship different versions of the same god in different campaigns.
That deity might get a little wonky in your brain if your characters haven’t met the canon version of them yet.

that second one is fair but poor dresk. come on buddy, don’t just blow him off :P
Okay but also to be fair, we also all know how it ends for Rev and Dresk in the VAST MAJORITY of universes.
