When Nagumo said that Gaku reminded him of Sakamoto-kun from back in the days, I only just realised that Suzuki-sensei has actually dropped some small hints w their similarities. His weapon aside, Gaku's also the type of fighter who would pick up & use whatever within his surrounding to fight his opponents.
Yea even his own severed hand too..
