Fatto la foto perché con me avevo solo 20€ e c’era un libro più fondamentale da portare a casa. Entro domenica sarai mio.
People who think that Nne & Tano‘s behavior is uniquely asshole-ish either:
1) Have no older siblings
2) Have never been the one (1) kid who actually did the group assignment
Since this past fall, I’ve been paying my rent and bills by picking up weekend assignments for my local county newspaper (it’s one of the oldest in the US, apparently). But today I was told my assignments would be cut in half, so now that gig won’t cover my bills and I am livid and sad, bc it feels that during my whole professional life, every gig that pays your bills without overworking you to death is one step away from being phased out by some corporate restructuring plan or some awful acquisition.
This is all going down because the family that owns all the local newspapers in Western Massachusetts isn’t making enough money during a global pandemic so they have been laying off people left and right since last year. I know print media is dying etc but it boggles my mind how this owner-family won’t invest in any forward-thinking local digital media production. They recently got a new publisher named Shawn Palmer from Connecticut who decided its better to take half the pay from the paper’s one freelance non-employee not-unionized part-part-time weekend photographer.
Thank you for listening to my rant. I will be fine. My point is that labor rights and unionization are things worth fighting for. The ground floor of democracy isn’t at the ballot box but at the work place. (Image: General Strike // Made for NÜANTZ Magazine, 2020)
Me: *finds out that it's valid for aros to participate in selfshipping* Oh sweet, this is awesome! I get to join such a cool community! I'll try shipping myself with a character in my age range that I headcanon as being asexual too.
*immediately f/os this lil shit*
