Whenever I make textiles for myself I always remember this reddit post where a historian said our ancestors didn't seem to mind obvious seams and mending.
Like, seriously not everything needs an invisible stitch it's fine.

As a response to the last post I reblogged - (this is a link.) Maybe an interesting point of data and consideration is that things that aren't geared toward men does have a cultural element to it, of course. But I like to look at the driest info I often have within my reach. Anecdotal, and maybe the user with the 35k thesis on this mentions it (I'm trying to eat cereal real fast before I go to the dentist so I'm not reading it rn), however;
As a streamer I hear a lot in talks about how advertisers don't know how to get money from men ages 18-35. They really think men are some mystery monolith they can't touch. It's why a lot of media companies go all in on people like Jimmy Kimmel because he has a targeted male audience.
They love e-sports (predominately male audience) but are afraid to advertise on sites like Twitch because it's edgier and might chip away at the market they feel that have control over (family friendly/safe/mom approved).
It's fair to be like "clearly it's hating women" and make no mistake it's not great, but I think it can often be even simpler than that: They feel they don't have men's money.
Seriously sometimes that's it. They feel like they have lady and mom money, and "family" money but they want men money specifically. Like a toy in a collection they don't have. It doesn't matter HOW much money they're making if they aren't getting money from the one group they have numbers on saying they DON'T make money from them.
Anyway I have to get my cavities filled or w/e.
A special message just for you!
Convinced the Wizard Who Lives Upstairs to get a Tumblr. It's about to get fucking weird isn't it.
