It was nice, to spend time with Ai. To relax in the bath after a long day of walking around Tokyo and helping the other find the universities that he was interested in. And to have dinner together after a long day. The bathtub wasn’t big, but enough for them to have an intimate bath together.

This was nice. After a wash, to have Ai lean against his chest. Haru kissed along the other’s shoulder, listening to the soft noises the other made. His thumb ran across the other’s lips, his arm wrapped around Ai’s waist. “This is nice,” His thumb traced the other’s lips.

Though Ai was ever grateful to Haruka’s hospitality and companionship, there was always a part of him that felt as if he was imposing. Even back when Haruka lived in Iwatobi, his home life was one of peace and quiet. Almost picturesque; coming over for an extended weekend or glorified tourguiding probably exhausted him.

But then, it was little moments like this -- in Haruka’s bath, feeling his lips brush his shoulder, his thumb brush against Ai’s plump bottom lip -- that Ai knows the reason he’s here isn’t so impersonal. The natural reaction is to fluster, and he does, cheeks kissing pink; but it’s with incredible ease that Ai reaches up for Haruka’s wrist, keeping his hand still as Ai kisses the pad of his thumb. 

“I’m glad you let me stay over.” And he leans back even more into Haruka’s space, resting with his head right beside his shoulder. “And... I’m grateful for your help today. Thank you.”

Haru, at the gym? How likely are these kinds of events?  He could swear Haru lived to only swim as he loathed land training when they were in middle school. Natsuya chuckles at that fleeting memory.

“There’s no pool here, you know? Just a bunch of equipment, unless you’re planning on working out. Need a spotting partner?”

After a long day of swimming and scrimmage and food, Ai was content to finally circle back inside the locker room showers to rinse off the day’s sweat and chlorine before making his way back to Samezuka. He’s barely gotten his shirt off when the sound of footfalls from behind get his attention; standing upright, he greets Haruka with a smile.

“Nanase-san, did you forget something?” Ai was pretty sure all the others had showered already and taken their bags. “If it’s the lockers, I double checked they’re all empty. And if it’s the train, I–” 

Close. It feels like Haruka looks through him as he steps forward, suddenly blocking the rest of Ai’s vision, “–I’m okay to walk back by my–”

He isn’t sure what he registers first; the feeling of his shoulders slamming against the lockers, Haruka’s broad palms pinning them there, or his lips, sweet and wet and hard, pressed against his own. At once, his breath comes up short; instinctively, he grips Haruka’s wrists as hard as he can.

However, it isn’t until after Ai’s pushed back against that rough, sudden kiss and gotten his own fill of it that he tries to pry Haruka’s hold off of him. “W-What are you…?!”

          Seriously, he thought Haruka was a braver guy than that! Then again, the activity Natsuya had suggested did quite literally take the fish out of water ( situating him high above the treetops instead ) so perhaps it wasn’t all that shocking to see his former team mate’s visage blanch as he shuffled his athletic frame awkwardly across the high rope.

❝My hand?❞ A grin splayed on his lips, Natsuya extended his hand in aid.

❝Alright then, grab on tight! Don’t look so worried Haru, I’ve done this a hundred times, avoiding looking down and everything’ll be fine.❞
