So normally I would not interact with backseaters/armchair gamers, but this one in particular struck me enough that I decided to push back against what is a real problem with the Souls community: an obsession with everyone minmaxing.
But I also decided to see just how truthful they were about my Divine Zweihander doing "much less" damage than its normal counterpart. The answer is, of course, that it does "marginally less" damage. Naturally they rolled back into adding with spell buff, but that is not a factor unless you actually have those spells/stats to make them usable.
In short, though there is a damage difference, it is not a major enough difference to impact my FUN that I am having in playing the game.
Henceforward, any and all backseating comments on videos will be removed, and any push-back to that policy will result in further actions. No backseating. No armchair gaming. I am playing these games to have fun, not stress over every single point of damage.
Anyone else out there wanting to play Dark Souls, don't be like this guy in the comment. Do whatever you want with the game, so long as you HAVE FUN playing it.
