Happiness is a full rain barrel (x3)
Yeah, all the cold and rain at the end of winter put a crimp in my garden starting plans, but I knew that was going to happen anyway. (Hooray for my #greenhouse!)
The upside is when spring does finally get here, and the rain disappears until November, I’ve got three rain barrels full of free water and a nifty gravity system for distributing it.
When you live in a state that’s in a perpetual drought and charges you an arm and a leg for water, that’s a very good feeling.
Yeeha!

Hey Robyn! Love you and your blog to pieces. If you wouldn't mind, I could really use some help picking out a haircare routine. My hair is fine but I have SO much of it it's insane, so it's sort of fluffy. It's very dry and my ends split easily, but my roots get greasy after about a day and a half without washing. Frizz is also a huge problem for me, as is lack of shine because my natural hair color is a dull mousy brown. I'd prefer a shampoo bar, but I'm open to anything that'll help. Thanks!
WOOO pieces! I worked with a girl who had hair quite similar to yours, so you’re an easy one! Karma Komba shampoo bar to balance, Happy Happy Joy Joy conditioner which is light, but is great for people with a lot of hair no matter the texture, No Drought to soak up greasies in between washes and a light touch of R&B (avoid your roots!) to help with frizzies and breakage!
I just started a job at a takeout, and I'm having a big issue of smelling really strongly of fries/frying oil a lot. I've been using my normal shampoo Brazilliant, but I'm wondering if there's anything strongly scented that might help with the smell?
Been there, done that. Worked at a burger joint for about five minutes and I hated smelling like fryer grease! I know No Drought will soak up oil as it’s a dry shampoo, but it’s supposed to help with hair odors as well, so give that a shot! Other than that, maybe spritz some perfume around your hair!
hi! I have a problem. I'm really really active in my sports so my hair gets super greasy and sweaty. the problem is my shampoo. I used lullaby for a long time for my itchy scalp and loved it but it's not really cutting it anymore.. I also use daddy-o sometimes for my blonde hair. I need a shampoo that cleans really well but doesn't make my scalp itchy. thank you so much!! :)
WOOO greasy sweaty hair! I’d look into Rehab. Nice and cleansing, but tons of olive oil for moisture so it shouldn’t be too much. Karma Komba would be nice as well. Also look into a dry shampoo like No Drought in case you don’t have time for a shower, but don’t want to feel like an oil slick!
