A/N: Yeah, I know this is not my usual work, but I want to just get it done so I can blackout my bingo card! There are another 9 tabs open on my chrome browser that are better planned stories, I swear to you. Lol. I’m not even bothering with tags. .
“Witches. Why’d it have to be witches?” you whined as you trudged to the back seat of the Impala. Despite the ease of the hunt, the witch got off several good shots at you, throwing you backwards into walls and pillars and hitting you with some kind of spell. Your back was aching and your limbs were stiff.
“If I never see another witch again, it’ll be too soon,” Dean grumbled as he slammed the trunk of the car.
“Yeah, I know what you’re saying,” his brother replied. Sam had been hit with a spell at the same time you were but he rushed to your side, ignoring the ache from where he’d been knocked down.
“I just want a drink and a hot shower,” you moaned as you closed the door and laid across the back seat.
“How about you take a nap and I’ll wake you for that shower when we get back to the bunker?” Dean suggested as he slid into the driver’s seat.
“I’m definitely taking one. Let me know if you need me to drive, Dean,” Sam told his brother as he settled in the passenger seat for the 14 hour drive home.
“I guess that means I’m gonna rest up too, then.”
“Hey guys, wake up. We’re home,” Dean called as he pulled into the bunker garage. You groaned as you stretched but something sounded off. Your voice was deeper and rough. Your eyes popped open and you were looking at Dean in the driver’s seat of the car. A shriek sounded from behind you and you turned to see your own face staring back at you in shock.
“Why am I a girl?!” Sam cried out in a panic. All you heard was your own voice reverberating back to your ears.
“Ugh, do I really sound that shrill and annoying?” You cringed at the sound that was hitting your - Sam’s - ears. His voice was much deeper than you heard it yourself.
“What the fuck is going on?” Dean questioned as he looked between the two of you.
“I think that witch did something. But why didn’t it cancel out when we killed her?” Sam replied, hoping that the answer would be something you knew. You knew more about lore than he did, particularly when it came to witchcraft.
“Well, there are some spells that aren’t terminated at the death of the caster. Some are specific timeframes and others have to have a reversal. Let’s hope this is not the latter,” you informed the brothers as you moved Sam’s long limbs out of the car and towards the bunker library.
“Do you remember what she said?” Dean asked as he trailed you. He knew more about languages than he let on; his ear for Latin phrases might be helpful if you knew what was said.
“If only it were that simple,” you scoffed. You started to feel a little light headed and turned around to scold Sam on not keeping his calorie count where it needed to be for a moose his size when you saw him holding onto the table himself. “Sam? You okay?”
“I’m just a little light headed,” he replied before the both of you collapsed to the floor.
Dean was panicked as he checked pulses on both of you. When he was satisfied that you were both alive, he went to the kitchen for cool compresses and water. When he came back, the two of you were sitting up, holding your heads. He stopped in the doorway and stared.
“Is everything back to normal?” you asked, actual you, with your own voice. You looked around and saw Sam checking his hands like he was surprised to have them. “Oh thank god it was temporary.”
“I’ll say. I couldn’t handle looking at that body and having it be Sam in there.” Dean shuddered for effect, a little blush tinting the tips of his ears pink as he handed each of you a water bottle and threw the rags on a nearby table.
“Eh, I could have dealt with being tall a little longer.”
