If I respond to that, it becomes a problem.
So I’m not going to.

Physical methods of showing affection, without hugging and the messy stuff:
The Headbutt
-typically to the shoulder or head. Please ensure a low speed as concussions are a risk to all parties involved!
The Punch V.1
-closed fist, knuckles to shoulder/chest/cheek/forehead/jaw. PERFORM AT LOW SPEED! Grounds for assault if done at high speeds and precision...though still affectionate in a shonen universe.
The Punch V.2
-closed fist, knuckles perpendicular to chest/thigh/knee/forehead. PERFORM AT LOW SPEED!!! Reasons as above.
The Boop
-finger to tip-of-nose. LOW SPEED! If done at high speeds and precision, one will look foolish. The finger at play will also hurt, I repeat, finger will hurt! Small risk of nose bleed and disfiguring septal haematomas...
The Kick
-apply foot (front/side/heel) to person’s ankle/shin/knee/butt/hip/back/shoulder/probably not head...SLOW SPEED WARNING!!! Again with the assault charge risk. Your reach is determined by access, flexibility and ability to weather the awkwardness!
The Step
-apply plantar aspect of foot (complete or partial) to dorsal aspect of person’s foot. Refrain from applying high speeds or mass as ouchy-ouch. LOW SPEED AND MASS!!!
The Shoulder Nudge
-apply shoulder to person’s shoulder. LOW SPEED and EXTENDED TIME required to not confuse with the antagonistic sister ‘The Shoulder Check’. ‘The Shoulder Check’ may also represent repressed feels in certain situations...

I’m not saying I have personally benefited from Covid... But it has made my introverted-ness seem normal.
