K then.
Very sicks of Right Wing media using various examples of when cops did their basic duties assigned to them-“To Serve and Protect”- as an excuse to not recognize the growing problem of corruption within the police force. Basic duties do not warrant excess praise when brutality against People of Color still exists.
I’m making myself mad.
Happy to report being gay is no big deal. Thank God
Does anyone find it weird to casually talk about being gay, and it NOT being a big deal? There is no *gasp* "OMG WHAT!?? You like girls?? You are a lesbian whattttt" Because I am happy to report this is the new norm in my life. People don't give a fuck. It's whatever. Male or female. No stupid comments or questions. The conversation can flow on without pause to talk about me being gay. I still feel like I'm adjusting to that, cause regardless of whether they are accepting or not people tend to make a big deal. And I feel like I had to prepare myself anytime I made a comment that indicated my gayness, to respond with "yes really..I've always been this way..only like girls..nope never a guy..lesbian I am..I know, so shocking. Gays exist" or being congratulated or (especially from straight people) being told they accept me for who I am. Blahblahblah. Now I'm just another human. Not the "gay" human. And that's what's up.
Waiting, but I don't mind I'm all bus stops and heat I'm neon in your daylight I'm the optimist of 30th street How it is is how it oughta to be I've got anything but moneyed esteem The drinks on Condé Nast I'm the optimist of 30th street How it is is how it oughta to be I spy Vivian Girls on the Up, Upper East There's no reason to be upset There's no reason to not expect There's no room for emptiness No tea of sympathy There's no room for emptiness On a never empty street
