I probably get even more disturbed at some of the shit people get up to, as someone who did grow up around guns-as-tools.

When you seem to have gotten much better safety training drilled in by the time you were 10 than too many actual adults who want to carry on a regular basis, there's something bad wrong. Maybe at least some of them do know better and are "just" ignoring very basic safety precautions, but that really doesn't make me feel any better about going near them.

so my sister and i were just talking about Popsicle and she was complaining about how there were no popsicles or icecream in the freezer and shes confused that some Popsicles are made of fruit but there are no fruits made of popsicles and she’s actually pretty irritated 

I said “Simone to make the popsicles they have to blend up the fruit into little pieces and then add juice and other stuff and then they freeze it. The fruit comes first” and she said “can’t they just put it back together???????” 

and now she’s going to bed all pissed and i feel bad but she’ll probably understand better in the morning
