This is an unpopular opinion that absolutely no one asked for but it’s probably because I’m spread thin and I’m in a big push phase of life right now.
I am not on board with the homeschool, sourdough, homesteading trend.
I like routine, structure, and pushing myself past what I think I can do. I am not burnt out and I do enjoy a refresh. But I think when we slow down too much, how do you know what you’re really capable of? I know everyone has different goals but and maybe the goal is to live a slow life but simple doesn’t have to be slow.
I have a lot of lofty goals I know I can meet because I have done it time and time again in the past because failure or giving up isn’t an option. I plan on raising my kid to be resilient and I think the way to do that is through the routine, doing the mundane sometimes, and doing hard things. Obviously homesteading is hard but I believe the way we level up is pushing ourselves. That’s all.
