They’d been having another one of their Sleepover & Self Care weekends, which was exactly what it sounded like. A literal mountain of snacks were spread all around them. Face masks and skin creams, powders and his massive care kits sat between them as Angel gave his sister a manicure. Sleepover played quietly on the TV, largely ignored as they’d seen it plenty of times. The story Molly had been telling had just trailed to it’s natural end and for a moment everything was quiet. Serene. 

Angel sat there, just holding her hand as the thought twisted around in his brain. It’d been there rolling around in the back of his mind for months now. Slowly he leaned down, pressing a kiss to the back of her hand. 

She was so soft..

“I am sorry that I got in the way of you and Vox’s relationship...” 

He paused, letting the weight of those words sink in. He knew, Molly didn’t NEED his approval of her choice in partners. But... she wanted it because she loved him and that acceptance meant something to her.  It was time to get his head out of his ass. This wasn’t about him. All his selfishness had done had hurt his sister. 

Enough was enough. 

“You deserve to be happy, Maria. Even if it’s with him.” He gave a mirthless chuckle, thumb rubbing her hand so tenderly.

“Be happy.”

you know what i kinda feel sorry for this guy for not giving a shit about me. cause i have a great sense of humor, taste in music, loads of patience and a big heart (and as it seems my diet & exercise program started to work so a big butt too)

yeah i'm a 100% that bitch that you only come across once a lifetime.
