I can't get over how much I love not shaving. This has been a revelation. It was so easy to get rid of makeup and bras, and I never wore skirts or heels, but something always held me back from tossing the razor. I convinced myself that I liked the way smooth legs felt, but I was a lying liar. 100 percent. I love my fluffy legs. They feel great. And they're stylin', to be honest. It's a good look.
If you're a woman or girl, everything about you is perfect and needs no modification. Your female body is a masterpiece. Men, however, should be deeply ashamed. Their bodies are an abomination.
Women's bodies make you consider the possibility of the existence of a divine creator. Men's bodies make you sure there isn't one.
Disco's back. I can't recommend freeing yourself from shaving enough. It's an elite choice. You won't regret it.
Tell me what you see 🤭
Hello magical feminist teddy bear in my phone, I have a slightly embarrassing question! I just stopped shaving absolutely everything. I feel fantastic! Small problem! I have no idea how this works.
I know its dumb but like..how do I take care of it? Shampoo? Conditioner? Plain body wash? Blow dry? Do I trim it or is trimming it sexist (some builds of toilets makes me feel grosssss using them with plentiful hair thats uhhh lower down, and that under arm hair can get long as hell)
I tried to google but not surprisingly at all I don't get tips, all I get are ads for shaving products and reddit posts shitting on body hair.
it's not embarrassing at all :) i think trimming is actually completely normal and not sexist at all. the goal is to have to do as little maintenance as possible. i am a big fan of the simplest skin & hair care available. i use sisal soap bags to wash/exfoliate my pit & bush hair (and the skin underneath!). you don't really need to do anything else to it, fresh hair that just grew out might be prickly, but it will soften as it grows, wears with the activity of your body, and is washed when you wash.
also, for feeling clean with your bush/other genital hair, get a bidet. everyone should have a bidet. if i was a world leader i would make everyone have a bidet. the Luxe Bidet Neo 185 Plus is the top rated one on consumer reports & is often available for 25-35 dollars open box (new) on ebay. if you order directly from the site, message or call them and they'll give you a coupon code to make it cheaper than amazon. say you're a new customer and ask about discounts. /bidet propaganda
to me, the basics of skin care also take care of body hair. gentle exfoliation places where there is dead skin or sweat build up, lotion after exfoliating (and as needed for dryness). know that super hot water disrupts your microbiome and can irritate your skin so avoid it on the regular & save it for special occasions, warm or lukewarm water is best. cool or cold if you're crazy. that's it!
PEOPLE OF THE SUN
It’s the last day of No Shave November. This year I spoke with 10 new people about men’s health issues. In particular I mentioned the fact that most men receive flowers for the first time at their funeral. You might think “flowers are not a suitable gift for a man “ but that’s part of the problem. It’s the thought, the gesture that flowers represent and men appreciate their beauty just like women do. I’ve also talked about how rare it is for an adult male to receive a compliment. If you see a man wearing a shirt you like or you see he has on something new or nicer than normal, please say something. A simple “hay, nice jacket “ or “cool t-shirt “ can boost a man’s mood and make his day. In other news my daughter and I have started decorating for Yule. Deadric is helping
My progress in spreading awareness about men’s health issues is my belated flex Friday post that @m0tiv8me tagged me in. Now I need to decide if I’m going to shave tomorrow or let it grow a bit more??
