I just had one of my most epic and successful formulations of No-’mato Sauce ever!  The post-blending visual completely nails the look of tomato sauce, that’s for sure.  

I split the beets between red and golden, and I used a cup of dried mushrooms to make the broth for the recipe, and as a protein additive.  Brilliant idea, worked better than I expected.  Still futzing with the acidity, but so close.

I clearly spend far too much time at the golf club if the head chef knows what I want before I even open my mouth and remembers my exact order. I also now have my own teapot for cups of tea
