new windows, new shoes, new ice cream

this morning, i had a most interesting exchange with my mom:

mom: do you not go to church anymore? me: well ... i haven't been going because i thought you wouldn't like it ... mom: no, i don't care me: really? so i can go? mom: yeah. you wake up late anyway, so you might as well

YAY! so awesome. (btw, waking up late meant waking up at 10:30 this morning @_@ okay fine, it is late. but since i've been fairly successful at waking up at 7:30 on other days, i'm pretty sure i can make myself get up in time for church). it was such an unexpected, wonderful surprise. praise God :) i'm excited to go church-hopping next sunday.

i also got new shoes today because i really wanted some wedges. i felt kind of guilty because i already have so many shoes - this is why i'm building a shoe rack - but a good purchase does have the added bonus of making me feel better, so i shall not regret it. i will now wear them everywhere because i'm tired of wearing flat shoes. they don't feel natural. :/

i hadn't gotten pandan ice cream since i've been home (!) so i went today with my mommy, and i was thrilled to see that they (finally) had the durian flavor. it's actually amazing; not only is its flavor extraordinarily reminiscent of a real durian, it is deliciously cold and creamier than the real thing. it has possibly surpassed pandan as my favorite ice cream flavor, especially because today's pandan ice cream was rather sharp. strange. :(
