Just because Noatuk has a facial scar doesn’t mean that Korra is an immediately unreliable source.

he could have literally had the entire backstory Tarlok described and then had a nasty run in with a fire bender after running away. Korra doesn’t even claim he doesn’t have a scar. She claims he lied about his backstory and wasn’t an orphan who was given power by a spirit.
