it was amusing && thrilling to him, all the same, how a half-blooded demon had come to accept pay from a nephilim - their sworn enemy - without issue. a few years ago you wouldn’t have been able to get him to spare one, let alone work for one, willingly. how the times had changed, and hanzo right along with them ... not that he was complaining. rich girl’s money certainly did him a lot better than the scraps mundus had been offering, prior.

Ariela begins to sweat profusely, holding within her delicate palms a tiny charm of a fish: it's eyes hold little gems and decorative sparkles line the tail and fins. "I thought... I thought you might like this, Sorn."
Sorn had been helping out at the pet shop that his sister worked at within her human form, it was quite often that people were able to find the siblings there as he had enjoyed coming by to check up on the little aquariums. Turning his head as the little bell above the door jingled a merry tune, the male saw the familiar sight of Ariela. His lips automatically split into a somewhat wide smile, luckily he caught himself &. coughed it away.“ A-Ariela. ” He spoke her name softly, the far side of his cheeks flaring into a soft pink colour. Even just seeing her made him nervous, especially when they had been in the public eye; quickly glancing around he pulled a hand up to straighten the collar of his shirt. His eyes then glanced down to notice her hands outstretched, his eyes widening at the wondrous sight of the gift.“ This-- This is for me ? ” Sorn asked, his attention rising once again to meet her own gaze. The colour ‘pon his cheeks deepening. Nervously, the same had extended out to take the little trinket; it felt like his heart had bounced up within his throat as the two made the smallest amount of physical contact.“ I’m honoured. ”

Softness radiated around the magical book as he shifted down from his shelf within the quietened library, pages opened up slowly before closing once more.

The sounds of violent commotion within ‘ CLAVES ‘ were nothing new. Beer bottles breaking, tables splintering, and glass shattering -- it was a common occurrence as of late; especially when he was around. It was never his fault, though, of course-- he was always provoked.

His jaw throbbed a little with a dull pain-- it’d probably bruise, but who gave a damn? These two idiots were left a lot worse off than he was, after all. Speaking of said idiots-- he’d grind the heel of his shoe into one of their backs, reaching out to grasp at the previously discarded shot glass, lifting it to his lips and polishing off the remains of the booze he’d paid for. A satisfied, throaty sigh would leave him, afterward, before giving the barkeep an amused glance. ❝Ah, c’mon... stop looking at me like that, gramps! You know the girls I pull in here on any given night can more than make up for two dumbass drunkards.❞
He took the tender's groan of annoyance and redirecting of his gaze as a sign of forgiveness ( as it usually was ) before his lips would pull upward into a smirk, the ebon haired male moving to seat himself infront of the counter, comfortably, once more-- the scent of expensive perfume drawing his attention over to his right, if only for a second. A head of ivory hair greeted him, as well as tight clothing, eyes brimming with a sense of superiority, and fine fabrics draped over a commendable figure.
‘ A rich girl, huh? ‘ were his first thoughts. Cent was usually right about these things, he had an eye for women, after all, to say the least. ❝Sorry about that,❞ came his drawl, after a few moments of silent staring, gloved hand rising to gingerly cradle his cheek, as well. ❝If I’d known such a beautiful lady were going to be watching, I would’ve put on a far better show.❞
