22. If you could recommend at least five blogs to your followers, who would they be?

oh man, i follow so many wonderful and talented people, so i’m absolutely gonna miss people and i’m so sorry, you’re all amazing, but here’s a go at it

first off, @legendwrote​, the wonderful hmr who i could gush about all day but won’t — suffice to say they’re an excellent writer who captures all their muses well and is a joy to plot with, and also an incredibly welcoming and friendly person and will 100% make you feel at ease within five minutes of interacting

secondly, @earthssprout​ — i have to give a shoutout to gi, who is a wonderfully sweet person and a positive presence on any dash, and my friend of....how many years now? oh my god i think it might be four years. i first interacted with gi in 2017. i may be having a minor crisis about this. but! ari is a wonderful muse and gi is so willing to interact with muses across a number of fandoms, and always indulges me in letting me throw boys she doesn’t know at her so that they can befriend ari. highly recommend <3

thirdly, @priestlies​ — alexa’s really out here doing god’s work and spreading the good word of priest; she’s the one who got me into reading qi ye, and her takes on all of her priest characters are spot on. reading her threads is always a joy!! also i think i look up her post about the canon ages in tyk like once every two weeks because it’s the only way i can keep it straight sdfhgfd

fourth, @chordbound​ and @spelllbound​ — am i presenting jackie and lila together purely so i can fit more people in this list? maybe so. but they’re both wonderful writers, and i’ve had so much fun writing and plotting with each of them!! plus i love reading their threads with each other just as much as i love reading their threads with me 

and last but certainly not least, @difficulttoforgive​ — i love kastor’s writing, and he’s so great to plot with; it’s been such a joy spinning together aus with him and i can’t wait to smush more of our characters together as soon as i get off my ass and actually write it lol

23. What’s the one thing you dislike about the roleplaying community on Tumblr?

hmm, this is a bit hard to answer because every fandom rpc is different and has different positives and drawbacks. i guess i wish a lot of the rpc would have more of a care for accessibility? graphics and fancy text is great, but i still come across blogs i can hardly navigate and posts i can’t read, and i can see all right; i can’t imagine how difficult it must be for people with worse vision than mine to be unable to interact with parts of the rpc because of the difficulty of reading and navigating their content. (though it’s definitely better than it was a few years ago.)

also, i wish vagueblogging wasn’t a thing, because there’s no quicker way to become insecure about your place in an rpc than thinking someone’s vagueblogging about you

29. Which fandom(s) do you wanna roleplay in/crossover with but you’re too afraid to approach?

hm, i don’t have any super strong answers for this question, but i’ll say that recently i’ve been itching to play my hp characters again, but i’m finding myself nervous to follow many blogs that aren’t c-drama related since my content so heavily is right now; it feels like a big ask to make them deal with stuff on their dash that has nothing to do with their fandom, and i’m a bit nervous about trying to slide back in the direction of that rpc a bit. but i’m trying!

     “this can’t be a real, actual thing, can it ??” nothing but a bundle of bright yellow hoodie and blankets that were definitely stolen from the other, he turns phone to show off what has currently captured attention. there’s an entire world of unknown creatures out there, and arcadia has made it his mission ( and minjae’s problem ) to learn every single one. “is this really real ??” he sounds awed, and a little scared.

𝐈𝐒 𝐈𝐓 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐌𝐄 𝐎𝐑 𝐒𝐎𝐌𝐄𝐓𝐇𝐈𝐍𝐆 𝐄𝐋𝐒𝐄  that  lingers  in  his  gait  .  he  passes  into  what  feels  as  if  it  is  another  realm  ,  one  forged  of  safety  and  confinement  ,  distance  from  the  war  they’d  both  left  behind  .  he  looks  more  human  now  ,  no  longer  donning  the  chalk  white  gaze  that  had  held  so  firmly  before  ,  lacking  the  rage  that  dressed  his  features  as  vengeance  had  become  his  only  motivation  .  simply  somber  softness  . 

jaesun  had  believed  he  was  dead  too  -  he  has  to  remind  himself  of  this  .

he  turns  back  to  see  where  uriel  stands  ,  but  no  longer  does  he  see  the  archangel  ,  a  faded  image  in  the  distance  ,  somewhere  likely  doing  angel  things  (  whatever  that  means  )  or  perhaps  for  a  spell  he’s  decided  to  allow  him  to  approach  jaesun  on  his  own  ,  and  likely  will  be  watching  from  the  distance  to  ensure  safety  between  them  he  can  assume  .  so  he  carries  forward  ,  spotting  the  other  just  beyond  his  reach  before  he  speaks  his  name  .

the  words  come  soft  ,  barely  above  a  whisper  but  to  a  degree  that  he  knows  the  nephilim  can  hear  him  ,  it  takes  all  effort  to  not  rush  him  ;  wrap  tired  arms  around  jaesun’s  frame  and  pull  him  close  .  no  ,  he  resigns  himself  ,  stoic  as  always  but  also  mixed  with  a  dash  of  uncertainty  ,  ❛        uriel  told  me  what  happened      ❜

– minjae stares at the hand extended to him, a confused look crossing his eyes as he tilts his head. dark whiskey hues shift from uriel's hand to his face and vice versa and when he gets it, the reaper ducks his head. embarrassment floods into his cheeks in a touch of crimson. for a fleeting moment, it occurs to him it’s ridiculous to react like a twenty-something when so many years have been left behind him—them—. but the truth is uriel is a trigger of his humanity.

   the once writer said this was his mother’s favorite song as it played in this space suspended in time, with its ghosts and the glory of what he holds dear. uriel gave him that look minjae does not dare to give an interpretation to. what could have remained as a piece of trivia became another kind of moment —one of those that make his heart stutter, flip, and await, eager for things he should not be hoping for.

   minjae takes a steadying breath and grasps the offer with careful fingers. the first touch is not foreign but it isn’t warmth either. cool fingers twitch as the sensation of the holy spark tingles, pleasant, under his skin. lights become softer as he flicks his hand around. ❛ if i see your face up too close, i will embarrass myself, ❜ he explains, a casual shrug and a self-conscious smile gracing his lips. minjae settles for placing both arms around the archangel’s shoulders and any other witty remark or moment of honesty he may have had bubbling in his chest out of nervousness gets lost as they sway to the music playing softly.

   there are things minjae tells himself he will ask uriel about the next time they see each other. in the end, he can’t bring himself to close that distance between them. that one is safe, that common ground meant to be the only point of reunion between a creature of heavens and one who is everywhere but belongs nowhere. these mundane notions ingrained into his head as a human have been thrown aside to favor the existence of something far older than life itself. yet every time he’s here, close to the one who sparks his curiosity and apprehension equally, these mundane notions of want and romance speed back into his mind; they say, dare to take a leap. 

   reapers are not supposed to fall for the trickery that is this kind of devoted affection. metaphors about half-full glasses and feelings scorching him in the inside are supposed to be fictions that get lost in the writings of history like footnotes that carry their own importance yet are often ignored. he can’t overlook the way a look alone can tug at his heartstrings like gravity, inevitable, supreme. minjae wants things to be different even when these may be an inconvenience for almighty uriel and the plans god has for one of his chosen children. 

   taking a step closer into this space between them feels like stepping further into the edge of a cliff. if minjae stares down and looks at the consequences, he will step back again. so he keeps his eyes fixed on uriel’s features, that lingering something bright in the corners of a softened expression. ❛ thank you for indulging me, ❜ he whispers. minjae licks his bottom lip, eyes flickering with emotion. is it a mistake to not run from what keeps him holding onto his humanity? ❛ i have something to ask you. ❜ 

   uncertainty. feet don’t move too much, the gentle sway remains in spite of a racing heartbeat. minjae’s hands come down from uriel’s hands to settle on his clavicles. there’s barely any light casting over them and it’s okay, you can’t see much when you take a leap anyway.
