Honestly, he had never been one to particularly like pets. And why exactly he had taken home that dog, he could not say. His only excuse was that he was drunk - and those cursed puppy eyes the dog had used on him so effectively. However, it was a matter of pride, whenever the dog seemed to like Robin more than himself, after he had so kindly given him a new home.

Offended, Athos huffed and glared first at the dog and then at Robin. “Damn dog. I’m sure you bribed him with some sort of treat. After all, I am the one who took him home. He should be grateful!”
