I tried watching it and couldn’t make it through the first episode because I thought it was so stupid…but now that you said you like it, I might give it another shot.
hadnt thought about that but it might not be everyone's cup of tea and that's cool. I liked the format and what i'd seen of it on tumblr, and enjoyed a lot of the humor long enough to get past the first season (i was told to skip to the second but i didn't think the first was that bad. In comparison to the rest it is rougher though). And from there it's just great writing- a great, diverse and interesting cast of characters with some on point satire of real world politics, but mostly a lot of sincerity and heart. Many sitcoms try to create humor by pitting the characters mercilessly against each other, but I like this show because it's about the inherent differences in the characters causing conflict, even if at the end of the day they do truly love and respect each other.
But again different strokes for different folks so if it aint your thing it's all good :)
