Precious fifty-year-olds trying to learn how to drive the newfangled vehicles of Republic city. :)
“Hiroshi, I’m not so sure about this,” Katara fretted, wringing her hands as she watched Aang settle into the seat of the large contraption. “Aang’s not as young as you – I’m not sure this is good for his heart.”
“Spirits, I’m only fifty-four woman,” Aang mumbled, scowling as he tried to avoid his wife’s worried gaze. He wrapped his hands around the circle of coated metal and smiled at the young entrepreneur. “Right Mr Sato, I think I’m ready for a test drive!”
“Very well,” Hiroshi adjusted his spectacles and signalled towards one of his mechanics.
“Clear the area! Ma’am, you’ll have to step back!” The young gentleman led Katara away from the track – every step she took she became more anxious and fearful.
“Don’t worry sweetie, I’ll be fine!” Aang called after her, grinning as he began to rev the engine of the automobile.
He was eating his words ten minutes later as Katara heeled a rather large bump in the middle of his forehead.
