I remember when I used to be so reliant on those who were close to me. I clung onto them for everything: told them every little secret I had, shared all my problems, expressed all of my joys, and everything in between. I relied heavily on my friends for everything because my family doesn’t do feelings -- or at least didn’t have the time for it. As I grew I yearned for friendship, so much so I would change to match my friends. It wasn’t who I wanted to be but in that moment it was who I needed to be in order to keep them and fit in.

Looking back at those times have I realized the monster I became and leads me now to the person who I swear I will never become again. It’s no surprise I’ve lost some friends; often I wish I still had great friendships with certain people and even fantasize about friendships that never really did develop but it’s all for the best I suppose. It’s at this particular moment in my life where I’ve realized that being alone isn’t the worst thing in the world. Before I would’ve been embarrassed to say that I spent/spend a lot of time on my own, however, it’s done me nothing but good (except maybe cripple my social skills a little, maybe a lot.) In the extensive time I’ve spent by myself I have grown to see different perspectives and a bigger tolerance for people I definitely wouldn’t have had the patience for in the past. I see things a lot clearer now and try to see the bigger picture when I run into unforeseen obstacles. Yes, there are some days where I do miss sharing my feelings with others who understand or just sharing stories in general but recently I’ve learned to save your stories for people who actually do care because I’ve been around way too many people that don’t.

I try very hard to be selective with what I say and do now - very, very hard. I often keep to myself, I’ve learned to bite my tongue when a certain situation doesn’t involve me, I try to observe how people behave before I react to them, and I avoid confrontation if necessary. It may seem like I don’t have much of a backbone but I’ve learned that it takes much more to pick your battles rather than fighting every little one that comes along.

I know no one reads these but if for some odd reason you are, this is just a reminder to myself as to how far i’ve come with my self development and self discovery. Having someone to be there for you is a wonderful and indescribable feeling but relying on someone so much you can’t function on your own or have your own opinions isn’t something that you as an individual deserve. Your self worth is so valuable and discovering it is such an honor. It’s great. It really is. Because after you realize how great of a person you really can be to yourself and most importantly to others you’ll never have to worry about investing your time and trust into certain individuals that won’t value you in the end.

1. Where were you 3 hours ago? Walking my dog.

2. Who are you in love with? nope 

3. Have you ever eaten a crayon? Ive chewed on crayons before I don't remember eating any though. But I did eat the ink out of a marker once when I was little.

4. Is there anything pink within 10 feet of you? Yes, my pocket knife. 

5. When is the last time you went to the mall? Like two weeks ago.

6. Are you wearing socks right now? Yes! They are teal with polka dots. I love socks. 

7. Does your family have a car worth over $2000? The van, my sisters car and my dads 73 Challenger. The rest of them are junk. 

8. When was the last time you drove out of town? I think the last time was when I went to Wizard World. 

9.Have you been to the movies in the last 5 days? No, I don't go many places.

10.  Are you hot? I don't know if this means hot and cold or like attractive. Im both a little cold and attractive.    

11. What was the last thing you had to drink? water

12. What are you wearing right now? black jeans, old shirt I cut into a tank top and a sweater cardigan.  It looks so punk

13. Do you wash your car or let the car wash do it? I don't have a car. 

14. Last food that you ate? popcorn

15. Where were you last week at this time? Home, probably doing the same thing. 

16. Have you bought any clothing items in the last week? No but I need to.

17. When is the last time you ran? I don't know. My friend and I were supposed to run together but we only went twice and we just walked. lol 

18.What's the last sporting event you watched? I don't watch sports.

19.What is your favorite animal? I like a lot of animals so to make this easy I will just say dogs.

20. Your dream vacation? Probably Germany or Ireland  

21. Last person's house you were in? My friends several weeks ago.

22. Worst injury you've ever had? I've never been badly hurt before. I guess either the time I got few stitches for my face. Or when I passed out/fell asleep and blacked my eye on the baseboard heater.   

23. Have you been in love? With a human no. With a puppy yes. 

24. Do you miss anyone right now? my friends 

25. Last play you saw? I think it was Music Man 

26. What is your secret weapon to lure in the opposite sex? Try to make eye contact and not stutter. So far it hasn't worked. 

27. What are your plans for tonight? I might make brownies and then either clean or draw/watch tv shows.

28. Who is the last person you sent a MySpace message or comment? i wasn't allowed to have a MySpace when it was cool. lol

29. Next trip you are going to take? None. My family is poor and my friends are to busy. 

30. Ever go to camp? No, Is was to expensive. Plus I had really bad anxiety and was to scared to go aways.

31. Were you an honor roll student in school? No, i'm really stupid.  

32. What do you want to know about the future? If I will be a lonely failure.

33. Are you wearing any perfume or cologne? No, unless you count deodorant. 

34. Are you due sometime this year for a doctor's visit? No, I only go once every few years.

35. Where is your best friend? I don't know.

36. How is your best friend? I have no idea.

37. Do you have a tan? No, I don't really like how tans look on me.

39. Do you collect anything? I kind of collect comics.

41. Last time you got stopped by a cop or pulled over? No 

42. Biggest pet peeves? When people don't wash their hand after using the bathroom. And chewing tobacco its nasty please just stop.

44. What makes you happy? puppies, food, hugs, music, comics, dudes holding babies, 40 likes on Instagram, and when people tell me i'm pretty.

45. What makes you cry? acoustic music, mean people, letters, deaths in tv shows, movies and comics and when people tell me in pretty.
