Their farewell is one of the most sadly moment in Gintama for me ;-;

I wish he could came back and become the good Shogun like Shigeshige and have Soyo along side with him.

A Gintama chapter a day keeps the ending away...Lesson 629

MY 12 FAVORITE MOMENTS IN LESSON 629:

1) This tableau of drunken merriment.

2) Honestly and selfishly, I’m glad Hijikata walked in on the group scene instead of an intimate one-on-one moment between Gintoki and Tsukky.

3) I loved that they were hanging out together: the future Shogunness President Princess Leader and her loyal bodyguard Commissioner General of the Police. 

4) She looks pretty even with the snot bubble!

5) Just so CUTE. Really, I loved their whole “slumber party” moment. 

6) I love that not only did the guys in space finally get through to someone on Earth, but of all the people, it would be NobuNobu connecting with Soyo.

7) I really felt for Shinpachi: here he is being a total bro and carrying Gintoki, who undoubtedly outweighs him, on his back and the only thing he gets for it is a head full of puke.

8) Ok, it was sweet of Yamazaki to carry Kagura (and of course I wished it was Sougo doing the honors), but did he HAVE to drag her through the street like that? Man has no sense of chivalry...he could have carried her on his back like Pachi-kun did with Gin-chan. 

9) Oh Kondou...sometimes he just makes me so sad. I’m glad Tae-chan wasn’t around to see his accident...although it’s sweet that he was so happy to see her he overdrank. At least he held his business in until he was out of her view.

10) Oh Zenzou...sometimes he just makes me so...grossed out.

11) Kagura’s Yato spidey senses going off.

12) Yeah, I really really did NOT like Gunsmoke. That looked like trouble even before we found out what it actually did. 

SHIPS TALLY:

Gintoki x Hijikata: with all of Gin-chan’s ladies back in his life and in close proximity, I honestly didn’t think they would get a chance to interact anymore, so I was beyond thrilled they had this exchange and they were within each others’ orbit again.

Nobume x Soyo: I totally support this future ship.

Disclaimer: Gintama is not only about shipping. Gintama is hilarious, clever, exciting, poignant, heart-breaking, loving, brilliant, and just so freaking amazing.  It is only due to Sorachi-sama’s generosity that I can enjoy Gintama on yet another level, the shippy level, and I am forever grateful for that. GINTAMA IS LIFE AND LOVE.
