The surprise on his friend’s face as he pulls back the curtains is unexpected for Sirius, considering the marauder’s had hardly let Remus sleep a night alone since they found out about his little monthly problem. Sirius is rather dedicated to the cause of comforting the boy after a rough night, and he usually brings snacks with him.
Tonight was no different, except for the fact that it’s the very first full moon after a long summer in which he was stuck with his family’s house all summer, grounded for putting the name of the family to shame with his school activities. It wasn’t until the end of the summer in which he convinced his father to get him an owl so he could stop borrowing one, and then could send all the letters his heart desired.
He all but waltzes into the infirmary, ignoring any annoyance the nurse might express, and slides the curtains around his tired friend happily throwing the rucksack down on the table beside them and climbing into the small hospital bed.
“You’re mental if you really think that. I brought up some chocolates and stuff,” he added the last part in a loud stage whisper, “but don’t tell Poppy, she doesn’t like it.”
