If one was to ask about the demeanor of the first princess, everyone who knew of her would easily claim she was even-tempered and frequented a smile, hardly letting her emotions get the best of her unless when it was absolutely necessary. When she felt that slipping, she would always take a moment in private to gather herself, rarely allowing anyone to take a glimpse of her doubt or discouragement before she could talk herself into positivity once again.

Because of this habit, there was one being who had the ability to see this side of her most of all because she was always at her side: her djinn who had been with her since the start of her rise in the ranks and responsibilities, to bid farewell to the folly’s of youth and instead embracing her family’s dream. At first it was embarrassing that Paimon could always see this side of her but she’d been unable to help be grateful for the fondness she held for her king and subject of her choosing.

The djinn, in typical fashion, embraced her like it was the most natural thing in the world; like a gentle breeze surrounding her that was comforting in times of peace and the strongest weapon when she had to draw her sword. She was thankful for their relationship being this way as other kings vessels didn’t seem to share that sentiment from what she understood.

“I can’t help it after hearing what Lord Kouen and the others saw at the summit. The former world... your former world...” Hakuei let out a small sigh and turned back, sky blue eyes catching hers, “I wish I had been able to see for myself, and I do feel guilt for never asking you. Maybe we all could have known these things and how the metal vessels came to be sooner.”
