Do Nocturne and Nightwatch exist in the Victory AU? If so, what role do they play and how do they fit with the rest of the cast?

sorry this turned out so long!!

yes they do!! im allergic to making characters who live outside of the au. however, they exist in a splinter timeline/au to the real au, so the "main" storyline (which is to say djd ending) doesnt include them

nocturne and nightwatch are born shortly after shockwave develops the tech to make soundblaster. so this is a while before victory comes along, mid war on cybertron. nightwatch is away from most of the main story, hanging out with starscream and the rest of the seekers. victory meets him only a few times as a kid and generally thinks of him as a pompous asshole just like his dad

nocturne is the mysterious scout/spy/creepy dude who hangs around megatron. because victory is also around megatron as a kid, they actually bond quite a bit. however the difference is nocturne loves megatron while victory will grow to hate him.

they do their various decepticon things while vicky is out in space. nightwatch stays behind on cybertron while nocturne goes on the nemesis with starscream and megatron. this was pretty much nightwatch's first big leadership job bc starscream is training him to one day be air commander/leader of the cons once the stupid fucker megatron is dead. megatron wants to keep nocturne close, so they went with him.

nightwatch has fun times on cybertron and grows up a bit and becomes a leader. he only rejoins the story once everyone returns to cybertron and he's there to greet them. he's an asshole and he's going to be in the cybertron/rid idw portion of the story, along w his dad. he will become less of an asshole! he also has a ton of issues that ill get into in another post---

nocturne on the other hand gets jettisoned into space off the nemesis and has to deal with being without megatron for the first time ever, and possibly leading the decepticons that dont crash on earth from the nemesis. this arc would put them into conflict with victory, the other apparent successor to megatron (back by the djd) while nocturne is backed by the high ranking decepticons who arent presumed dead (crashed on earth). this would get even worse once they realize they are in fact siblings, and victory wants to kill megatron while nocturne will do anything to save him. her reunion with megatron is a genuinely happy one, the thousands of years without him made her realize just how much she loves him, despite everything. although their relationship needs a lot more work

i think nocturne on the lost light would be really cool, or they stay on cybertron with starscream.

Do Nightwatch and Nocturne ever have to put up with their parents complaining abt each other to them?

YESSSS

the nature of starscream is that he bitches about megatron to anyone who will listen, including nightwatch. however nightwatch's entire perception of megatron is from starscream, who does his best to keep his son out of megatron's sight and way.

megatron complains about starscream much less but he has never made it a secret how much he dislikes the seeker to nocturne. however, they have a respect for each other. when nocturne learns the truth about their heritage, megatron tells her that as much as he may dislike starscream, he does not regret creating her with him

if you look at the art i did of nocturne, she looks like neither of them, which was megatrons intention! however you can definitely see starscream in there (particularly the armada design i used)

nightwatch on the other hand is the spitting image of starscream! he got all of his fathers good looks and all of his amazing flight frame

How do Nocturne and Nightwatch feel about themselves? Like, do they see themselves as sinply what they are told to be? Do they have an ego? Do they have any lind of self esteem or dismorphia issues? Etc

nocturne is extremely lonely and has a lot of self worth issues. she has no real connections to anyone outside of megatron. he loves her, but he's very emotionally unstable and an extremely bad parent who has expectations that are way too high, and then gets pissed when they don't get met. thus, they have a very warped view of themself. at some point once nocturne learns about their other parent (starscream) whenever megs gets mad at her he'll be like "youre just like starscream" (aka in his eyes: cowardly and worthless). which also gives them an even worse view of themself. they don't actually dislike their weird frame though! to them its the ultimate sign of their fathers love

nightwatch has an ego, genuinely. he's very pretty and charismatic and charming, having grown up being taught by starscream how to manipulate and influence others. all the seekers adore and dote on him, having helped to raise the kid. being starscream's son, he can also get whatever he wants with the seekers and with anyone else (other than megatron ofc). starscream expects perfection from nightwatch in combat and leadership, but other than that he lets him do whatever the fuck he wants and spoils him a ton. he is very confident in himself too!
