Universally, Rocky’s response could easily be compared to that of a toddler on the verge of throwing a tantrum: not quite to that level just yet, but apparent nevertheless in the little rattle of his carapace, the fidgeting among his feet, the noise he emits that is as close to a grandiose huff as he can manage. Because honestly—! Bucky’s being entirely uncooperative. And doesn’t that just mean Rocky has more than earned the right to be equally so?

“No understand!” he gripes, practically punted out of him in time with an annoyed stomp. “Easier! Less bother for you. You difficult.” Rocky has no problem telling him that. In fact, he states it proudly, like it’s a well-known truth for everyone who’s ever come across Bucky, and he should know.

Sinking down, another low rumble of frustration, he begrudgingly suggests, “You let me inspect while attached, question?”

sylvain: duh. like there was any doubt he'd be here. i know i don't need to explain to you why. it's there in the narrative of fe3h.

takumi from fe fates: i am more intrigued by this since they are very similar in nature, and i think they could be a great power duo. they're distrustful, stoic, have darker sides, but are openly affectionate around those they care about deeply.

dimitri: i hmm and mmm on this one because i can see how it would work, but i've never had a chance to plot or write it. but i do know it would be messy af.

byleth: there are few characters that byleth has a natural affinity with, but yuri is definitely one of them. the way he goes from distrusting her and pushing her away to trusting her wholly. it gets me every damn time. he has every reason to distrust people, but she manages to worm her way in.

claude: iconic. legendary. an absolute moment. they'd have wild flirtation whilst trying to needle information out of each other, like a mental game of chess, always trying to figure out the others motives and moves. yuri would like a challenge like claude, someone he can't manipulate or dig his claws into. it would frustrate him, but he'd find it incredibly attractive too.

dorothea: pretty4pretty, peasant4peasant, working every angle they can to get ahead in a world ruled by the nobility??? i love their natural affection for one another having come from similar backgrounds. they look out for each other, and have each others backs. they make me uwu.

kageyama: i mean, we all saw it, right? i'm here. somebody who is even better will come and find you. so long as i'm here, you will be the strongest. you can fly higher. he was a partner. it writes itself, man. fucking chefs kiss. the way kageyama was waiting for shoyo to come back from brazil so they could play against each other? gay.

atsumu miya: when bro is so entranced by you that he promises to one day set for you, and then actually does it??? fuuuck. and then when he does, he spends his time on the court simping over you like he's in a daydream?? that's gay.

oikawa: when he's a bitch to most people, but soft towards you, in particular?? poetic cinema. even oikawa isn't immune to the shoyo hinata propaganda, and becomes one of his biggest fans, he's a little obsessed even. the brazil arc??? ughhuuwuwuuuu. the way oikawa uplifts shoyo from his depressive thoughts, it's very sweet, and they're so huggy. i love it.

honestly, it's not even surprising that shoyo turned out bisexual. he's received so much male attention over the years from fellow vball players, that it was only a matter of time before he realised. i personally think the main components in this are kageyama, oikawa, and miya a. which, also, probably not surprising.

kageyama has always been his mirror. the person he strives to be as good as at the game, and the person that pushes him the hardest because he knows shoyo has freakish potential. they simply matched each others freak, and are THE DUO of the monster gen. though they can be antagonistic towards one another, they have always shared a bond of straight up belief in one another too. each others biggest fans. unlike the relationship between oikawa and kageyama, shoyo has a much more affectionate relationship with oikawa. sure, oikawa can be snippy with shoyo, but he clearly always had a soft spot for him too, and shoyo latched onto that with a ridiculous eagerness at getting special attention from the great king. of course, that's going to give shoyo a bit of ego, some lil butterflies in his tum. as for atsumu, he was the first setter other than kageyama who showed interest in setting for him. if that's not an immediate turn on, then wtf is?? and he follows through with it. that's crazy work, sir. and when we see them in time skip arc, they clearly have quite a close relationship and atsumu is a bit possessive of shoyo. again, it shows that someone has utter faith in shoyo and his abilities, and that does things for him.

like, of course, shoyo's queer awakening was going to be linked to volleyball. people doubted him his entire school playing career, but there were three who especially believed in him. that means literally the world to shoyo hinata.

Nesta didn't flinch at the question, conversely, she sat as still and stoic as a statue at her place at the large banquet table. The spread of it felt disheartening, empty with only a singular cloth setting placed before her in blazing autumn hues and instead of a service plate piled high with steaming game meats or harvest vegetables there was a singular goblet half-filled with fae wine. She'd heard the question, though she showed no sign of it as her blue-grey eyes remained downcast into the depths of her drink as if she might see somewhere beyond it's burgundy surface. With a slow intake of breath, Nesta finally stirred as a slender index finger began to trace the outer rim of her glass. "I bet you expect my answer to be... yes?" She phrases her answer as a question to meet his own, but after completing several circles around the rim of her glass she pauses once more in deeper contemplation of the root of the question. "No." Her answer is delivered easily and without explanation or preamble. Her tone is final, the same guarded cold manner in which she speaks to most others and the careful front she's cultivated like body armor. "I wouldn't." She doubles down on her answer before taking the goblet by the stem and downing more of a gulp than should be deemed ladylike. Somewhere in the afterlife her mother snarled at the impropriety and Nesta couldn't help but smirk a little to herself at the thought.

The fact that Bucky says you are and not Erid is the safest place does not go past Ryland's radar. In fact, it all but stops his own train of thought as the two of them sit on some non-sentient (he checked, okay?) rocks and stare at the manufactured ocean of the bio-dome. He turns to look at Barnes, taking in the softer features of the man's face and how the usual furrow of the man's brow has relaxed.
