Ugh, I'm sorry! :( Congrats on the new job, though! And "gezellig" is every translator's worst nightmare.
Meh, my mom is Special. In that sometimes she’s the human embodiment of ????. My dad was trying to be helpful but went about it the wrong way. Anyway, thanks! :) Gisteren zat ik op Google om een alternatief voor gezellig te vinden, en blijkbaar is uitwaaien ook zo’n onvertaalbaar woord. “getting some fresh air” komt dichtbij maar toch...

Deeply curious about what gezellig means in this instance...but besides that congrats!! It's going to be so awesome; hope you get some fun stories to share!
Thanks :) Ah well, education tends to be...interesting. I wasn’t even here 3 hours when I hear the story of a kid who’d just packed up his things and had gone to live with his dad, who lives on the other side of the country. Chaos ensues b/c he was having some education problems...*sighs* Thankfully all I have to do is listen and be nonplussed.
Gezellig is....gah. It’s a feeling and an atmosphere and a general mood of a thing. Like a living room can be “gezellig”, but so can a person, or an event. There’s no one word for it. Cozy, warm, fun, and pleasant all at the same time! That’s gezellig. Sort of. It’s really, really hard to explain lmao
