Also, what do you think about the same theme being written in the same fics with almost the same dialogue repeatedly (e.x. the nogitsune sexually assaulting lydia) time after time, like the writers literally cannot accept or tolerate the possibility of consent like Lydia might actually enjoy it too? I'm sick of that same stuff being carbon-copied all the time. Where's the creativity? This just attaches a stigma to the ship itself and people wonder why everyone hates it so much.

(this was for my secondary blog, lydiamartinu) I definitely agree! But for me personally, it is not something I can see Lydia ever doing. If the writer did it in a way that they KNEW she was faking her compliance for the reason only to save Stiles, then I could get on board with that, as long as the sex wasn’t violent. I have dealt with violence in that sense, non consensual, and so those fics are very hard for me to read, if I can read them at all.

What I have a HUGE issue with, and will IMMEDIATELY stop reading, is if the fic is set during season three or later, and they are writing Lydia as Season 1/part of 2 Lydia, I will be like FUCK NO. THAT IS NOT LYDIA ANYMORE. HOW DARE YOU BELITTLE HER INTELLIGENCE AND COMPASSION AND CARE FOR OTHERS.
