There are multiple ways within a society to build a community. Within the book The Social Organization they talk about how important it is to have community collaboration. By having this it allows businesses to use social media platforms and allows them to understand more how the community interacts. This should make businesses very cautious and attentive to what they are posting within their site.
Within chapter 5 they talk about they “No, Grow, Grow” which talks deeper on the fact if the companies ideas should be pursued. The No stage makes you question if you have a specific purpose within your collaboration. For the Go stage you determine if it is ready and looks at the conclusion. Then the Grow makes you look at how far you will go and if your idea is essentially worth it. Leading to see what happens.
Growing An Online Community
When growing your online community you have to think about your future or current followers. It Is essential to think about what your current followers want to see versus trying to get new ones who may eventually unfollow you. Yes some specific people may want the most followers but having quality interactive followers is more important for your business. The current business I am working with which is Creative Beginnings a childcare center is lacking in social media. Being a daycare social media and pictures are not as easy as retail or food but I believe they could improve in many aspects. I strongly believe that they could take the steps to promote and show their business to allow more interaction. Even if it starts with few followers it will helps broaden their business.
