we’ve made some changes to our faceclaim / muse capacity ( lowered it back down to three muses per mun maximum ) and cleaned up the main a little. there is a discord activity check being run right now - you have until tomorrow, wednesday october 27th around 4pm CST ( roughly twenty four hours ) to respond or your role will be reopened. we hope this will ensure we have players who are dedicated to moving forward before we bring on new players!  our second plot drop will be released tomorrow afternoon, after the activity check has been completed. we’ll also be updating to our november calendar afterwards, with updates about what to look forward to then!  thank you as always for being such a phenomenal cast and crew here, and we look forward to keeping as many of you as possible as we take our story to the next steps!

                                           family matters 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦

             The town of New Hope has been one settled by families that stayed through the good and the bad times. through the Great Depression, the Dust Bowls, tornados and blizzards, many families can trace their lineage through New Hope’s history, a part of the town as much as the one street light in the middle of town. 

            for this task, we encourage you to dive into the family history of your muse - whether you look at their immediate family ( the nuclear family ) or expand outwards, whether they’re New Hope natives or transplants who found their way into the town. 

           this task is designed to help mun’s explore the world of their muse outside of a base biography; what was their family history like? what was their childhood like, or how do they hope their children see their current childhood? can they still see family members around town, or are they the only / last ones standing within the city limits? what did their family do for a living, how did they support and survive for generations? this is meant to be a developmental task for you to really take a much deeper look inside of your character and the history that made them who they are. 

           if you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask! this task can be done before or after applying, and will be open indefinitely. remember to tag nohopetask so that fellow players can see what you’ve created, and we look forward to reblogging it all on our inspo blog!

we’d love to create another list of suggested faceclaims cultivated by your choices! please feel free to fill out this survey ( both players and lurkers ) as many times as needed, and include whomever you’d like to see!  a new mass post will be created on saturday for potential applicants or those looking at wanted connections / picking up additional characters to see!  keep in mind we’d like to promote primarily diverse faceclaims as much as possible, but are looking for any and all faceclaims people are interested in seeing around here!

                                            autumn leaves 🍂 

              With the arrival of late september and early october, autumn is officially in full swing in southern kansas. crops are being changed, pumpkins are decorating yards and porches, and the sweaters are being pulled out of attics and closets.  

              for this task, we encourage you to simply get creative however you see fit ! write a reflection of a fall memory, make an aesthetic of your muses version of autumn, write a journal entry for their current fall feelings, make a playlist they listen to as the nights get colder and the days get shorter - the options are limitless! 

            this task is designed to help us segue into our first event, currently scheduled to occur in mid-october - the new hope fall festival. an annual event taking place in mid-october, new hope first church hosts a small festival in the field next to the building, with local vendors and clubs hosting small booths for neighbors to come and celebrate the changing seasons together. though not a large affair, people from neighboring towns often come to stop by for apple cider and pumpkin pie, before everyone begins hibernating for winter.
