ok so Stanley is not a player in this au but narrator in some endings call him a player so do those endings not happen in this au or are the lines just different? ( oh and love your work)
So that’s something I’ve mulled over a lot, and I think I’ve found a happy medium.
The Parable is The Narrator’s forever-unfinished project, like a game that’s forever stuck in beta testing. Since The Parable is meant to be a game, sometimes a Player is controlling Stanley, and sometimes one isn’t.
Pretty much all I’ve depicted in the AU is the “downtime,” when there is no Player present. I’d say endings referring to a Player will always have one in this AU. …Except for maybe the Broom Closet Ending cuz that one’s fun and silly and meant to just annoy The Narrator. :P
