The bustling night life of the party before them reminded Zero of how much he didn’t like these kinds of events. The only saving grace he had was the fact that it wasn’t filled with posh nobles, looking down on anyone who wasn’t nobility as though they were dirt on the ground. It still didn’t mean he enjoyed it, but the outlaw had only accepted the invitation simply because Leo had asked him to go with him.
And, well, Zero would never deny a request from his lord, but this invite felt a little... different from the usual request that a lord might have for his retainer. Perhaps Zero shouldn’t think like that, though; getting his hopes up was the last thing he wished to do.
Still, the white haired male sipped at the drink in hand, his good eye watching the madness before him. A glance to the blonde, as Zero finally stopped finding his cup to be the most interesting thing on the planet.
“I’m sure it’s not fun standing on the sidelines... How about we share at least one dance together, milord?”
He was playing with fire here. It wouldn’t be the first time he took the risk of getting burned.
