The “Accident”

Noiz wasn’t the least bit surprised when his mother started yelling at him for something he wasn’t even sure he actually did. Of course, it didn’t even matter if he DIDN’T do it; if she could pin the blame on him, she was going. Any time something went bad around here, that’s what happened. And it wasn’t like it mattered much to him either way, he was used to it by this point.
Even if his parents were nicer to him now than they’d ever been, they still weren’t great in the slightest. But there wasn’t much he could do about it. He could always leave, but he had no idea how to take care of himself or where he’d even go. So for now, he was stuck.
At this point he’d managed to tune out most of what she was saying, so he hadn’t been paying attention to what was happening until there was a flash of red and a loud crack, followed by a thud. Blinking in surprise, he noticed the shocked look on his mothers face, following her gaze to see Matthew on the floor.
As he pushed himself up, standing between the two of them, his mother began APOLOGIZING, though he insisted that he was fine and that she should go relax. Noiz let out a snort as his mother left, knowing that she had been aiming for him, and definitely would not have apologized in the slightest if she’d injured him the same way she had her employee. But he honestly couldn’t care any less about that.
Before he could say anything about what had happened, he felt hands grab his face and turn his head. If this had happened a few weeks ago, he would have just pushed the other off and snapped at him, but he knew better now. He knew that he was just making sure that he hadn’t gotten hurt before he’d intervened.
Snorting again, he raised an eyebrow as he was questioned. “[No, I’m fine. Can’t say the same about you though. Why the HELL did you do that?]”
