The Tales From the Borderlands 2 thing: Someone leaked a trailer that looks pretty convincing for like a tales rerelease that has bonus content in it, commentary, concept art, bonus mini episode, that sort of thing, and at the end of the trailer it sorta teased a possible second season. You can probably find articles about it by googling telltale games or tales from the borderlands
i looked up and seems legit, minus the bad quality lmao. would be great a second season, ive been waiting for years lmfao
thanks!

Yeahh that was extremely weird and out of place how all them npcs were all "Jakobs is great they treat us so well :)", especially cos uh Jakobs is sorta the bad guy in one of the dlcs of the first game, and like radio ads in 2 bring up jakobs founders having history with being racists and stuff..... :I
Yeah they’re really pushing the angle of “wholesome family company” which is so weird to do in this universe with a big gun corporation lol, especially because unlike Atlas they’re just kinda going “well it’s great and it’s ALWAYS been great until right this instant so we need to fix it”.
I don’t mind shifting away from having the corporations be the primary villain but you can do that without doing... this... lol. Also it’s funny that during the Promethea arc every NPC was like “can we trust Rhys?” and “I dunno how I feel about siding with Atlas” even though, theoretically, if they’re caught up on the canon the player has plenty of reason to trust Rhys, but every single person re: the Eden-6 arc is like “fuck yeah jakobs wholesome family fun”. Every time some NPC shouts what is essentially Jakobs propaganda at me I’m just like
Yvette with #60 palette?
absolutely!!! There you go!
An Archive of Our Own, a project of the Organization for Transformative Works
Rating: Teen and Up Wordcount: 16,082 Pairing: Athena/Janey, Rhys/Vaughn, Rhys/Sasha Tags: Canon-Typical Violence, Post-Canon, Promethea - Freeform, Wedding, Shenanigans, Vault Hunter, Polyamory, Fluff, Action/Adventure
Summary: Ahhhh, so did you think that was the end of our story? The heroes go into the light, the lady got the girl, and they all lived happily ever after?
Every vault is unique. Dangerous. Like any adventure worth having, glory is not without risk. There is no true end, no ever after, until your final breath- especially on this side of the galaxy.
The con artist turned vault hunter and the company man turned CEO were not to part ways so soon after all.

Oh honestly I would love to hear more about all of them. But as that might be bit too extensive, here's a few ones I'd like to hear more about the most: android/ robot apocalypse au, demon au, AI au, handsome rhys au?
The android au’s a little complicated; so Vaughn works for Jack’s tech company Hyperion and he was recruited at a young age for his skill in designing algorithms and programs and basically the project he was working on was figuring out how to grant jack immortality. What they tried for years was to create an android body that they would transfer his brain into but for testing purposes they needed an artificial “tank brain” with an easy to handle personality so that’s how Rhys was made. And eventually Rhys and Vaughn grew pretty close from being together all the time, which was devastating when Vaughn learned they would have to go through several versions of the android through several years and wipe the brain so they could start over with each version. So Vaughn tries to learn to distance himself emotionally but finds himself liking Rhys anyway and having to go through heartbreak multiple times. The apocalypse come around because Jack gets impatient and decides to cut out the middleman by figuring out how to upload his consciousness to a global network that grants him the ability to control the world’s technology and Jack being Jack wants to rule the world and cause chaos. Rhys isn’t affected because as a secret project he’s disconnected from the network and he and Vaughn escape the Hyperion facility and try finding some kind of safe haven. They get caught out on the road by Sasha and Fiona threatening to mug them for supplies and Vaughn has to come up with a plausible story for them quick so he says he’s been on the run with his boyfriend. At this point Rhys doesn’t know he’s seen Vaughn before or even liked him, but he learns about it as they travel and stuff. When the sisters learn hes a robot they don’t react as badly because of how useful he’s been like being bulletproof and having increased strength. The way they solve the Jack problem is by locating the central hub where Jack first accessed the upload, which is now heavily guarded with traps and disconnecting it. They realize if they sever it completely they’ll be set back decades in infrastructure and it’ll be very hard for people around the world to return to a relatively normal life so someone has to upload themselves to replace Jack. Rhys volunteers but they find out it won’t work because this brain is structured differently than a human’s so Vaughn has to do it. Obviously Rhys is really upset because he’ll lose Vaughn but he knows it’s gotta be done. But it’s not all sad Rhys and Vaughn sort of become like overwatchers of humanity, being immortal and all, and help rebuild everything.
Demon au Vaughn accidentally summons Rhys through his subconscious desire to be liked and get over his severe social anxiety and Rhys tries to manipulate him in a traditional way by offering him deals to give him what he wants in exchange for his soul. This kind of backfires because Vaughn is so hesitant to do anything risky so Rhys just kind of ends up stuck living with him. There isn’t really anything for him to do other than help Vaughn though his anxiety. They also find out that demons used to be angels from Tim, who’s and angel, but they don’t really get to remember what that was like so Vaughn and Tim help Rhys out too figuring out his past. So they end up with a very symbiotic relationship.
In the AI au Jack would have managed to kill Rhys after the Helios crash and Vaughn would find his body in the wreck and of course grieve and all that. But he also realizes he could take Rhys’ old backup files and construct an AI personality for him, which he finds really comforting faced with the responsibility of taking care of the former Hyperion employees and being (somewhat) alone in all that. It goes well for a while but the Rhys AI sort of starts to recognize itself as a separate person from Rhys, and knows this is Vaughn’s way of coping because he can’t accept the fact his best friend is gone. It comes to a point where the AI has Vaughn confront this and tell him it’s probably not the healthiest thing to have him around and that Rhys would want Vaughn to move on with his life and Vaughn knows that. So it’s bittersweet but Vaughn has to let Rhys and the AI go and believe he’s his own capable person that doesn’t have to exist in relation to Rhys.
The Handsome Rhys au happens if Rhys accepted Hyperion but also managed to dupe Jack and prevent him from uploading himself into Helios. So he effectively becomes the new Hyperion CEO and uses his power to get Vaughn back, get rid of Vallory, get Sasha and Fiona back safe ect. The problem is he’s still Jack’s host and he can take over Rhys’ body if he’s too tired or weak to stave him off, so it results in a few instances where Jack end’s up harming Vaughn and other people close to him and Rhys feeling like it’s his fault afterwards. At some point they meet Timothy who’s been tucked away on the station since Jack died, and Tim was originally supposed to be the host for Jack’s AI so he feels a lot of responsibility for Rhys’ deteriorating condition. As they get closer to each other Tim think’s it’s on his shoulders to do something and makes a deal with Jack allowing Jack to transfer his data into him. This ends up rather bad because Jack’s AI basically takes Tim hostage and it’s easier for him to control Tim since he was designed for it. So all Rhys and Vaughn can do for some time is Mrs. Rochester him and lock him away in an apartment on the station where it’s harder for Jack to have Tim hurt himself. So lots of angst and whatnot before resolving and getting rid of Jack.
It seems like you chose all the aus with the most angst 。゚(TヮT)゚。
I’m a fan of mostly happy endings but these ones are about as close as I’ll get to true angst™️

Yeahh the game is very weirdly stingy about like ammo vending machines which is one of the few gripes I have about the gameplay, like previous games very often had like ammo vending machine outside of bossfight areas but in this one most of the time seems like vending machines are only like at beginning of the map or areas with fast travel point :/
It’s weird to me? Like it creates an artificial difficulty that doesn’t need to be there, or at least should be scalable to the selected difficulty level, with ammo more abundant in easier modes, etc. That’s how Last of Us worked basically -- in addition to starting the game with more base health, there were just more supplies in easy mode, and they became scarcer as you ratcheted up difficulty levels.
If you’re gonna design bosses so that any weapon does like 1/900th of a hit on them per shot, also make it plausible for me to take a lot of shots. I had a similar gripe in HZD.
i hope i am not too late, but like if your still doing beautiful icon art could I get one of Yvette plz?
