Did you know that most of the world’s helmets are made in Alameda, California? If not, you may be surprised to learn that most of the world’s helmets are manufactured right here in Alameda, California.
All kinds of helmets. You would be surprised. I am not sure what the percentage is, but it’s significant.
Helmet brands Bell, Shoei, HJC, ARAI, Harley Davidson and Nolan are all headquartered in Alameda.
Besides the town motto of “City of Helmets,” Alameda is also known as “Helmet Town, USA,” but they had to save that for another postcard, as this one was full.
FUN FACT: Most people in Alameda own at least three helmets.
