viii. hero(ine) — if you were to write a retelling of one heroic disney figure, who would you choose and how would you change their story?  (ty mir!!) I would retell cinderella and again like with snow white this is literally me changing her story to be closer to one of the original folk tales but damn!! the folk tale of cap o’ rushes is quite similar to the current cinderella story. believing her ungrateful, a king banishes his (actually very nice) daughter, the princess. she take with her only three dresses that belonged to her late mother, the queen. she finds herself work in the kitchens of the prince from the story and ends up attending the ball three nights in a row. he falls in love with her over that time and when she disappears, becomes so lovesick his doctors say he’ll only recover when he finds his mysterious girl. they find each other in the end, and it’s a very sweet story. the princess and her father, the bitter king, are reunited in the end, after she makes him realise the error of his ways. just search up ‘cap o’ rushes’ and you can read the full version - it’s a great story. anyway, I’d retell cinderella’s story to follow that plot, because I love it :)

🐉 — What’s your favorite fantasy book/series/franchise?

this better count bc Of Fire and Stars literally stole the spot of my favorite book/series. i’m so excited for the second book to come out and i’ve reread the first so many times!! also, there’s another book with different characters still set in the same universe called Inkmistress and i cannot reccommend both more—i love love love them!! bonus: it includes normalized LGBTQ characters in fantasy setting. how awesome is that?!

🦄 — What’s your favorite fairytale?

i’m constantly changing my favorite but it’s currently The Snow Queen!! one of my friends reminded me of a time we she on a school trip to see a play of it with puppets (it was much cooler than it sounds. they were those dolls you control with a ton of different strings!!!) and it was of The Snow Queen so i read some variations online and was reminded how much i love the story!!!
