Azata, Nomios
“Guardinal, Cervidal” by Tony DiTerlizzi, © Wizards of the Coast.
[Consider this a loose conversion of the cervidal from 2e and 3e.The guardinals of Planescape became the agathions of Pathfinder, but most of the individual species didn’t make the cut because they were protected content. Thus, there’s already a cervinal that’s deer themed and a cervapral that’s antelope themed that are official Pathfinder content, as well as my goat-themed caprinal. So I decided to make this an azata instead. Its satyr-like appearance fits the fey-like azatas as much as it does the anthro agathions. The name is taken from one of the Panes, which are either aspects or servitors of Pan, depending on who you ask.]
Azata, Nomios CR 5 CG Outsider (extraplanar) This creature resembles a satyr, with a horned head and goatish legs. It has a coat of reddish fur, which parts to reveal metallic skin beneath. Its face is kind and gentle.
Nomioi are kind-hearted and dependable azatas that represent the freedom of found family. They live in small groups as close-knit as the tightest families, and defend each other to the death if they must. While they are as fond of revelry and fun as any other azata, they also recognize the importance of hard work and responsibility to keeping communities together. Other azatas may see nomioi as a bit stuffy at times, but admire their dedication.
A nomios dislikes starting fights, but they are skilled at ending them. Their hands are as supple as human hands, but are backed with a rigid, hoof-like structure that makes them effective bludgeons. The horns of a nomios are more powerful weapons, however, and can send a conjured creature hurtling back from whence it came with a single blow. The same horns can be a balm for the sick, removing poisons and diseases with a touch.
