You are not the body; the body is not aware of itself. Only awareness can be aware of the body. You are not in the body, the body is in the space of awareness.
You are not your thoughts (name, personality, beliefs, self-image, fears, desires, stories, etc); thoughts are not self-aware and cannot experience ‘anything. When thoughts appear and vanish, do you disappear? Awareness (I AM) is only ever-present and capable of having experiences.
Everything that we experience in the world of name and form comes and goes in this changeless field of consciousness. Everything begins and ends in awareness.

True self-remembering is maintaining conscious awareness of your own being while engaged in daily activities. Recognize that you are not a separate individual that unconsciously operates from the default settings of automatic reactions, addictions, self-limiting beliefs, past traumas, recycled stories and a need to defend your position. You are (at the fundamental level) the untouched, witnessing space between stimulus and response.
When you recognize yourself as spacious awareness itself the structure of personal suffering and problems begins to dissolve. This recognition does not stop challenges you face in your life but it removes the psychological burden of believing they are your identity and belong to you.
The most effective daily practice involves self-remembering and mindful presence throughout ordinary activities. Every moment provides perfect opportunity to remember what you truly are by returning your attention the awareness from which all images/experience arises.
