Connor had taken Hank’s keys, walking out of the building a moment later. He had made sure that there wasn’t anyone following him, knowing that he needed to get away as soon as possible. If he got caught, then there was so much more that could have been messed up. In addition to this, he almost didn’t want to see Hank’s expression when and if he found out. No, it wouldn’t even be for an hour- the probability of Hank finding out was low.
As Connor made it out to Hank’s car, he could vaguely hear a man’s voice behind him. He tried his best to ignore it and continued to walk to Hank’s car, hoping that whoever the voice belonged to wasn’t following him. When Connor got into the car, he had looked up to see that the man had followed him.
“BOY!” Hands latch onto the door just as Connor, fuckin’ Connor!, shuts it. The Lieutenant’s face is a mixed expression of ‘boiiii you done FUCKED UP this time!’ and incredulous confusion. “What tha’ flyin’ hell you doin’?! Didn’t you hear me callin’ for you?! Why the hell-- what the fuck -- why are you in my fuckin’ car?!” He’s talking with his hands like the avid Italian he could be.
Honestly, Hank been minding his own damn business as per usual, letting the world rot around him on the daily. That is, until he decided for a quick run to the nearest coffee shop. Lord knows the caffeine intake could never surmise the liquor factor, but hell if it doesn’t help at least that much. To find his keys aren’t where they should be and watching a very hasty retreating back of a green-nosed rook, Hank hadn’t been ranked to Lieutenant by luck after all.
“You’ve got five seconds before I yank yer ass right through this fuckin’ window,” and that grit in his voice tell no lies.
